Covid-19 Update

Following on from the latest announcements from the Irish Government and the Northern Ireland Executive in relation to Coronavirus (Covid-19), Cycling Ireland has recently released some updated guidelines.​​​​​​​

Updated guidance for members within Northern Ireland
From 12 April, up to 15 people can take part in structured outdoor training within Northern Ireland. This is good news for clubs as small group rides can return provided Covid-19 club training protocols are in place.

Republic of Ireland
Updated guidance for members within the Republic of Ireland​​​​​​​
Members can:
Train with people from one other household outdoors
Travel within your county/20km from home from April 12
BMX & Track Facilities can open from April 26 * see note 1
Underage training in pods of 15 max from April 26

Club Training Protocols

Note 1: From 26 April, subject to public health advice at the time, outdoor sports facilities can reopen (for example: Tracks & BMX Facilities).

Activities should take place between a maximum of two households. Facilities including club houses and any indoor facilities (for example: changing rooms, showers, kitchens, meeting rooms), apart from essential toilet facilities must remain closed. There should not be any return to team sports or training activities.

We will resume with training for youth from April 26th subject to the limitations in place at that time. In line with government guidelines, session will be limited to 15 including coaches Travel restrictions will also apply.

Session will appear on the online booking system from midnight 25th April.
