This year event will be run on a points system accrued over 4 events. Riders will be split by ability similar to the Sundrive League and we hope to run with three separate categories in a similar fashion to our Track League. The event is open to all accredited Track riders from U16 up and bike hire will be available.
The proposed events will be a follows
* Flying 200m Time Trial (Starting with A’s)
* Kilo Dash (max 8 riders per heat)
* Scratch Race
* Standing Start 500m TT (Top 8 in each category)
For the Time Trials riders will be marked against only those in their own category so in theory the Overall winner could come from any of the three categories as is the spirit in which event has always been run. This event is unique in this respect.
We reserve the right to move riders up or down a category after the Flying 200.
Scoring system : Points awarded to first 8 in each category only on a scale from 8 to 1. Riders must attempt all 4 events. Lapped riders may be pulled from scratch race for safety reasons if they are obviously no longer in contention for points in that event. Top 8 in the 200 will be seeded for the Kilo. The rest of the field will be selected at random. Only the top riders in overall will be invited to compete in the final event, the 500m TT.
We may allow other riders to post a time thereafter while we are sorting the points.
Categories will be loosely based as per our League at Sundrive with A category for experienced with Vets and Juniors who are National Medal Standard joining our elite Seniors. The C category will be reserved for Senior Vets, U16s, Ladies (non National squad) and in particular to those who are new to track racing. B Category - Vets, Non Elite Seniors, new to track etc. We will try to get a good balance so as to give meaningful competition to all levels
No change of gear or pedals permitted on hire bikes. Pedals on hire bikes are Look Delta

Sign on 0900 -0945 at Clubhouse
1000 - 1030 - Open Track
Racing Starts at 10.30
Entry Fee €10
Prizes for top 3 in each category, and Top 3 Overall

The Sundrive Summer Track League will commence on Wed May 1st and run for 8 weeks up to Wed June 19th.
Prizegiving and informal racing on Monday June 24th
(moved to avoid clash with Stephen Roche GP)
We will have a further 8 weeks of racing then for the Autumn League commencing on July 3rd

IVCA Racing Licence also acceptable.

Above dates would get you ready for Autumn Track League, Youth & Team Chamionships etc

Above date is Final Accreditation at Sundrive for 2013 and would be last opportunity to get accredited prior to the Senior Nationals
