Wins For Mullen and Kennedy - Irish Riders In UK Track League Action: Ryan Mullen (Navan R.C), Roisin Kennedy and Brendan Whelan (Lucan CRC) competed in the MRTL Track League and the ACT Track Leagues at Manchester Velodrome at the weekend (January 15th To 18th) – with both Mullen and Kennedy taking their First Wins at the Velodrome for 2010,
Roisin Kennedy Won her event on Friday night in the MRTL Track League. The 2009 National Track Pursuit Silver Medalist won the 12 LAP COURSE DES PRIMES after going clear of the main field with 5 laps remaining and winning all the remaining points. Brendan Whelan only managed a third place in the Group 4 Devil Take The Hindmost event after a disqualified rider impeded his finish (Whelan has taken four wins at the Velodrome last season in February , March and November ). UK based Irish Rider Ryan Mullen was very impressive in the ACT Track league on Monday night. The young Navan RC rider lined up with Roisin Kennedy in the Group 1 races – with Mullen taking three wins from four races on the night. The Under 16 rider lapped the main field of experienced Track riders in only his 2nd Indoor Track event . Ryan will be competing at the Velodrome again in the coming weeks - Reports to follow: |
